Cy and Jane Whitfield, of Marietta, are current clients of the Hathaway Agency and participated in their first Promise Walk event for the Preeclampsia Foundation this past weekend. The Whitfields have four beautiful boys, Josiah, Benaiah, Callan and Titus, and this lively family of six worked diligently in completing their 5K race and to raise awareness for a dangerous condition that can occur during pregnancy. Jane, wife to Cy, is a two-time survivor of preeclampsia. Her first battle with the condition occurred with her first born, Josiah and her second encounter was with her fourth child, Titus. The Whitfields are walking representation of resilience, and thankfully, have the beautiful opportunity of raising four healthy sons in a thriving community today.

“I know that our story is different from other survivors, and my hope is that together, we can all help bring awareness and that more research is made so that more lives can be saved,” says Jane Whitfield.

The clients of the Hathaway Agency are first priority, according to lead agent, Lucas Hathaway. The sponsorship of the Promise Walk for Preeclampsia in Atlanta was in full support of the Whitfield family and the other participants who have been effected from this commonly overlooked pregnancy condition. Serving the community and creating relationships comes way before the insurance sales for this agency. It is not only the mission of the entire corporation to participate in consistent civic engagement, but volunteerism and servant leadership is something the Hathaway’s and company highly value and take seriously.

What makes the Hathaway Agency different is that its employees aim to be considered just another member of the family, who value and cherish the human experience and strive to make a difference in their surrounding communities, before being viewed as agents, marketers and salespersons. They dedicate time daily to communicate to their clients. Whether it is calling to wish a “Happy Birthday,” staying up-to-date on current clients’ policies or following up after any traumatic event that may have occurred in a life of a client they serve, they are devoted to serving their clients in any capacity. The sponsored Farmers Insurance logo carries a weight, and the people behind the doors of the Hathaway Agency strive to go further past your average auto, home, life, financial, renters (and more) policy sales.
